MEC Indonesia appoints new MD

JAKARTA– MEC Indonesia has appointed Ajay Gupte, from Mediareach OMD in Ghana, as its new managing director.

The new appointment will replace Jaydeep Chaudhuri who will be leaving early next month, to join OMD International as a managing partner.

Prior to joining MEC, Ajay was a director at Mediareach OMD in Ghana, whereby he recruited and trained local staff to deliver media products of international standard to both local and international clients. Ajay was also an honorary member of the Joint Advisory Committee for Media Research in Ghana. 

He has 13 years of experience in media management, consumer marketing and sales, in India, Ghana, and Nigeria. He has also held a number of senior positions at OnMobile Global and Maxus Global in Delhi.

Ajay is a Google-certified Adwords professional and helped to introduce digital advertising to clients in West Africa, through the introduction of search engine marketing, social media marketing, and gaming.
