This appointment will fill a new position created by Lulut Asmoro, president of JWT Jakarta. He says the appointment will strengthen the management team in Indonesia, particularly with Bartlett's knowledge of JWT and "passion for the business".

Bartlett has helmed the smaller JWT Colombo since June 2006.

Michael Maedel, president and CEO of JWT Asia Pacific, commented on the appointment, “This move is a demonstration of JWT’s philosophy on presenting international opportunities to our top talent who can think and operate globally with the goal being to create and deliver more diverse ideas for our offices and our clients.”

Meanwhile, Himanshu Saxena from McCann Erickson TAG, will be assuming the president position at JWT Colombo.

He has 18 years of experience across advertising, branding, consumer research and sales in advertising agencies in India including Lowe Lintas, McCann Erickson and Trikaya Grey. He has worked closely with brands such as Unilever, Marico, AT&T, HSBC, Idea Cellular, Mauritius Tourism and Barclays.

Saxena’s appointment is effective 18 July, and he will work together with Bartlett for a smooth transition.
