Gibson was appointed to lead the launch of Host Singapore in October last year. The agency’s client portfolio includes regional management of Coca-Cola’s Stills portfolio, global work for Unilever’s Lux brand, Google, Topshop, Citibank and SMRT.

Gibson has been in Singapore since 2010, joining Ogilvy Advertising from 180 Amsterdam.

Havas Worldwide Singapore and Host Singapore will continue to operate as independent brands, Gibson said.

Anthony Freedman, regional CEO of Host, noted that the expanded role enables Gibson to leverage the relative strengths of both brands within Singapore.

Havas Worldwide Singapore has seen several expansions this year, including the launch of Havas Life in Southeast Asia, led by VJ Yamat, and the expansion of Havas Worldwide Siren across Southeast Asia.

Naomi Troni, CEO of Havas Worldwide Southeast Asia, said the network has focused on integrated planning and channel communications for international clients.

“Havas Worldwide Singapore is now an APAC hub for a range of global brands including Air France, Credit Suisse, Merck, Seagate and Total,” she said.

Juan Rocamora, chairman for Havas Worldwide Asia-Pacific, noted that both Host Singapore and Havas Worldwide have complementary strengths, and Gibson’s leadership and local experience will be critical in driving the group forward.
