BEIJING - Meg Wu, managing director of GroupM Interaction (GMI), has resigned from the company.

GroupM Interaction's Meg Wu resigns as managing director

According to GroupM, Wu's last day at work will be 30 June.

In the interim, Sara Si, managing director of GroupM China, will take over Meg's duties as head of GMI while a replacement is being sought.

Wu has been working with GroupM for two years. Under her watch, GroupM Interaction grew from a team of one to its current staff size of 100. Its digital trading volume increased three-fold since 2008.

Meg was also instrumental in the creation of a number of units under GMI, including GroupM Search and GroupM Mobile Marketing. She left GroupM with a legacy which the company calls ‘a team of exceptional digital talent across our agencies and a top class digital trading team in China.'

A native of Taiwan, Wu has been working on the mainland for over 15 years.

Earlier this year, Robbie Hills, regional CEO of GroupM Search, left his position.
