Futurelab appoints 7-Eleven Malaysia’s social and digital business

KUALA LUMPUR – Futurelab has been appointed to manage 7-Eleven Malaysia’s social and digital duties.

The appointment follows a closed pitch with a number of digital and social media agencies.

The appointment is effective immediately and includes the development of the 7-Eleven Malaysia Facebook channel along with new social activities and digital campaigns. 

Commenting on the appointment, 7-Eleven executive director, Tan U-Ming said: “7-Eleven is committed to looking at digital and social as integral channels for our marketing efforts. With the increase in the number of stores and in-store marketing efforts, social media is definitely the next frontier. We felt FutureLab was the best fit for us.”

Vic Sithasanan, CEO for FutureLab Asia added: “7-Eleven is a fantastic brand and we are really excited with the appointment.
