English Biscuit Manufacturers switches digital agency in Pakistan

Bulls Eye DDB has been ousted from the English Biscuits Manufacturers digital account, following a pitch that began in July.

As a gesture of patriotism, Omnicom helped EBM set a new Guinness World Record by putting together the world’s largest 'cookie mosaic' in the shape of Pakistan's national flag.

Following a pitch, English Biscuits Manufacturers (EBM) has hired Viral Edge to take over digital duties from Bulls Eye DDB for its Jam Delight product line.

The scope covers a series of activities with the aim of placing the Jam Delights brands as a trendsetter in its category. This could require short term and long term tactics that ensure top of mind recall.

A representative of Bulls Eye DDB said that the transition process has already begun.

Viral Edge will take over Facebook, Instagram, and media buying.

"Our core strength lies in making engaging viral strategies," shared Naveed Seraj, the chief operating officer of Viral Edge. "We expect to drive some serious visibility, digital activation for the client to leverage digital, and drive growth through interpretation of the media and trends in the digital ecosystem."

EBM had been a client of Bulls Eye DDB since 2015.

The most notable campaign by EBM to date has been the relaunch of Peanut Pik and Peanut Pista in 2012, developing new packaging to revitalize positioning and introducing a PKR 5 SKU for more rural penetration.

Recently, Omnicom helped EBM set a new Guinness World Record by putting together the world’s largest 'cookie mosaic' in the shape of Pakistan's national flag, using Peek Freans Sooper cookies.
