Elly Puyat returns to OgilvyOne Manila as MD and head of digital

Puyat, who has been with Ogilvy for more than 11 years, was previously managing director of Ogilvy Worldwide, working from the Kuala Lumpur office.

The move comes as Isa Garcia-Sicam is promoted to general manager for OgilvyOne Manila.

David Mayo, president of Ogilvy ASEAN, said Puyat’s appointment is part of the agency’s growth plan in the Philippines and its strategy to assemble “A list” digital talent in the region.

Ogilvy said the expansion in the Philippines has huge potential as the culture is open to digital communications.

Jerry Smith, president of OgilvyOne Asia-Pacific, said some of the agency's most exciting work in the social CRM space is being developed in the Philippines.

“So it is by design we have brought back together a team that has been successful in developing new thinking and delivery in digital relationship marketing,” he said.
