GLOBAL – Unilever has appointed Havas' EHS 4D to handle global digital activity across the Dove Deodorant portfolio.

The agency won the business after a competitive pitch against two other Unilever roster agencies.

In 2007, Dove was reported to have consolidated its global digital creative into OgilvyOne but it has since worked with a number of agencies on an ad hoc basis depending on the nature of each project.

EHS 4D starts work with immediate effect and will be responsible for shaping Dove Deodorant’s online strategy through web, app, display and social media activity.

The win is the first major piece of Unilever business to be awarded to EHS 4D following the agency’s appointment to the global digital agency roster last year and follows announcements in 2010 that Unilever plans to double its global digital spend.

Dove's relationship with ad agency Ogilvy & Mather and media agency Mindshare are unaffected by the appointment.
