1. How did you end up being a creative?
During my graduation ceremony, I was handed a name card by Batey Ad which introduced me to my mentor, John Finn. This marked the beginning of my advertising career at Batey, where I worked on Singapore Airlines—the coveted dream job for everyone at that time. It was my inaugural role, handling a perfect account.
2. What's your favourite piece of work in your portfolio?
Well, it may not be my absolute favourite, but I’ve certainly had the experience of shooting a high-budget commercial featuring Avril Lavigne for Canon.
3. What's your favourite piece of work created by someone else?
The Mother Book by Dentsu (Kishokai Medical Corp).
4. Who’s on your dream dinner guest list (alive or dead)?
It will be Singapore’s founding father Mr Lee Kuan Yew. His quote I like: 'Life is not just eating, drinking, television and cinema… the human mind must be creative, must be self-generating; it cannot depend on just gadgets to amuse itself.'
5. What career did you think you'd have when you were a kid?
I wanted to be a policewoman.
6. What advice would you give to 10-year-old you, if you could?
Go invest and buy a house. Explore and gain diverse experiences by working overseas.
7. What food can you not live without? What food would you be happy to never taste again?
I can't live without chilli.
8. What makes you really happy?
Good company, good food, good time, good work.
9. Cat person or dog person?
Dog person.
10. Early riser or night owl?
Early owl.
11. Extrovert or introvert?
I consider myself an introvert as I tend to converse only with individuals I'm familiar with but it depends on my mood.
