Based in Singapore, Quek will work closely with Twitter partners in this region on content development and strategy. She is also responsible for content creation, delivery, and governance.

Quek will report to report to Frederique Covington Corbett, Twitter’s regional marketing manager in Asia. Corbett joined Twitter in December.

“It’s an exciting opportunity that ties in very strongly with my passion on exploring the intersection of human behaviour with technology, and understanding what can influence, impact, and grow the relationship between brands and users positively,” Quek commented on her personal blog.

The former social marketing manager at Havas Media joined Samsung in July 2013 as regional social business lead for Southeast Asia, Oceania and Taiwan. In November, Quek’s role at Samsung was affected by a restructuring exercise.

Quek’s move comes shortly after former Samsung hand Damien Cummings announcement his move to Philips as regional vice president and CMO.
