Bank of Communications retains OMD

SHANGHAI - OMD has retained the Bank of Communications' media account for its Pacific Credit Card Centre business - a joint venture between BoCom and HSBC - after a competitive pitch thought to involve Carat, Starcom and one other local agency.

OMD will handle planning and buying for the bank’s key dual currency credit cards, its Liu Xiang Visa card and several other joint cards.

The agency has been tasked with creating a strategy which will differentiate the brand from its competitors, leveraging the bank’s raft of new products which mostly launched last year.
