Communications agency Allison+Partners has established a presence in Korea after signing strategic partnerships with three Korean counterparts: M&K PR, MOS Communication and SMC.

The three agencies will merge to form Allison+Partners Korea, offering full-service PR and communications capabilities. The heads of the three Korean agencies will jointly lead the new, combined agency, which is Allison+Partners’ 11th office in APAC.

M&K PR founder Mina Jeong will be managing director, technology and B2B. She led M&K from being a small IT PR shop into Korea’s largest technology communications agency. Jeong has particular expertise in blockchain, and has advised several multinational companies on entering the Korean market. She is also vice chairman of the Korea Public Relations Consultancy Association.

Jacklin Kim will be managing director, healthcare and life, having focused on these sectors at MOS Communication. She also expanded the agency’s remit into public affairs and digital healthcare. Finally, YR Yoon of SMC, will be managing director, consumer and industry. Yoon brings 30 years’ experience to Allison+Partners Korea, advising brands, government, startups and NGOs.

“Korea is a vibrant market, particularly in the technology sector, making it a critical place for us to have talent on the ground who can help clients navigate the communications landscape,” said Jonathan Heit, Allison+Partners’ co-founder and global president. “We are fortunate to partner with an incredibly capable team with such broad expertise.”

Jeong said: “Jacklin, YR and I are pleased to join forces with Allison+Partners to expand our offerings and provide quality service on a global scale.”
