Chou, who has held the post of client services director for the past four years, succeeds Eric Wong, who is leaving to "pursue alternative career opportunities".

Chou began his career with The Integer Group in Dallas in 1999, and moved to Shanghai in 2007, chalking up experience in shopper marketing with FMCG, healthcare, telecom, IT and multi-line retailers along the way.

Marc Ducnuigen, president of international for The Integer Group, said Chou offers a "unique blend of East and West with on-the-ground experience gained in both the US and China. Mike was the obvious choice to take over Eric as The Integer Group expands in to China".

Chou commented, “Integer runs in my veins. The opportunity to lead the company in this critical growth market (of China) is a great honour".

The Integer Group is the promotions and shopper marketing arm of TBWA.

Ian Thubron, president of TBWA Greater China added, “We owe Eric a huge debt for his seven years at TBWA and four years of leading The Integer Group in China. The favourable reaction of our clients to Mike’s promotion speaks volumes for his talent and ability".
