SingTel unveils pay-TV service

The announcement, which ends months of speculation, was made at a press briefing this afternoon. The service - called Mio TV - will include an IPTV offering.

A number of media partners are lined up, among them BBC’s Global Channels Asia-Pacific, which has chosen Singapore as the debut market for three new channels: BBC Lifestyle, BBC Knowledge and CBeebies.

An advertising campaign, created by Y&R, will break this month to support the launch.
