Lowe China hires Fanny Yum and Yan Xu to lead Beijing office

BEIJING - Lowe China has strengthened its Beijing team with two senior executives hires, appointing Fanny Yum as general manager and Yan Xu as creative director.

Yum (pictured), who has been working as a part-time consultant for the Lowe Beijing team, will step up as general manager to lead the Lowe Beijing office. Prior to Lowe, Yum was the general manager at DraftFCB in Beijing.

Originally from Hong Kong, she has 12 years’ experience working at 4A agencies like McCann Ericsson Beijing, BBDO Shanghai and Bates Beijing, working across clients including Motorola, Nestle, FedEx, Pepsi, Visa, Mengniu and China Mobile.

In addition, Beijing local Yan Xu was recruited by Lowe China’s chief creative officer Norman Tan to run the agency's creative department. The copy-based creative has experience working in agencies like Y&R, Grey, TBWA and DraftFCB, with clients including S.C.Johnson, Kraft, Nissan and Land Rover.

“I saw the need earlier this year to have a dedicated full time team with our growing business in Beijing,” said Kitty Lun, chairman and CEO of Lowe China. “Now with Fanny and Yan Xu on board, we are sure our Beijing office will grow from strength to strength and the market will remember us as the agency for effective, relevant and innovative advertising.”
