My developerWorks already exists in seven other countries and languages since its worldwide version was launched in 2009. The newly-launched localised Chinese language version is the latest addition.

This non-profit SNS site hosts blogs, forums, groups and encyclopedia services for technical problems. It also acts as an educational portal with tutorials, industry-related articles and skill kits produced by the developers at IBM.

IBM says it aims to create a value-added service to the brand.
